Lions District 303 donated HK$2 million to support transition programmes for the VTC Social Enterprise to employ graduates of Shine Skills Centre (Note 1). In recognition of our donation, VTC Social Enterprise has changed the name of Shine Café, located at IVE(MH), to SHINE・LIONS CLUBS CAFÉ. The naming ceremony was officiated by District Governor Lion Amy Leung on 9 June 2022 (Sun) at 3:30 pm (Reception at 3 pm) at IVE (Morrison Hill), Wan Chai.  

Note 1: VTC - Shine Skills Centre:

Established in 1982, the Vocational Training Council (VTC) is the largest vocational and professional education and training provider in Hong Kong. VTC provides valuable credentials for some 200,000 students each year through a full range of pre-employment and in-service programmes with internationally recognised qualifications. Shine Skills Centre (SSC) is a member of VTC Group which offers skills training programmes for people with disabilities aged 15 or above to enhance their employability.
