The Macao Lion Pavilion at Colina da Guia was built and financed by the Lions Clubs International District 303 – Hong Kong & Macao and a group of Lions. An engineer Sai-peng Chui was responsible for the design, and the famous calligrapher Lin Jin wrote on the plaque. The inauguration ceremony of the pavilion was held at the Guia Cable Car Terminal on July 12, 1998.
